We’ll also cover your Member Intent Statement and the Member Retention Mindset. This is the foundation of your member retention program. Furthermore, we’ll work on how to easily sell more length (contract) memberships by simply adding the correct value components in each.

In this session I’ll also unpack the 12 biggest mistakes club owners maken when trying to solve their retention issues, as well as the 10 commandments of great customer service and the economics of lead volume vs retaining more members.

In our second training session we’ll begin to work on the initial stages of your Member Journey Mapping™. This is an in-depth process of creating specific and tailored strategies and processes for your members along their membership journey.

Together, we’ll also create a detailed framework to ensure that all active trialers and new members are getting the most value and support out of their trial period and membership. We do this through a process called the 90-Day New Member Onboarding. This is a series of bespoke emails and SMS that are sequentially created and sent out to all new members over their first 90-days of membership.

In our third one-on-one training session we’ll finish off all stages of the Member Journey Mapping™.

We’ll also cover the leading indicators of rising member retention and what to look out for from month to month.

Additionally, I’ll walk you through the Tribes and Sub Cultures component of the RetentionFirst™Accelerator Program. No fitness facility in the world has one culture, in fact quite to the contrary. Fitness studios and in particular gyms have many different sub cultures. The key is to identify them and then create specific retention and engagement strategies that are aligned with that group.

In this session we’ll also start to work on your ongoing retention initiatives; what my team and I refer to as member service not negotiables!

One of the key elements of successful health clubs that deliver outstanding customer service and memorable experiences is their focus on establishing traditions that members become rooted in over time. These can often be called retention events.

There is nothing more powerful than creating a place where people feel like they belong. Members are much less likely to leave a health club or fitness studio where they feel comfortable and where they know familiar faces (other members).

It all comes down to the experience you create for your members, and the relationships they have with your facility, your staff and other members. Every person on your team plays a vital role in retention. They all have a responsibility to make your members feel comfortable and to be professional, friendly and efficient.

In this training session we’ll continue working on your ongoing retention initiatives and begin to refine your overall member retention program.

Think what it would be like if you didn’t lose members every time a new fitness facility opened in your local area. The key is to ensure you and your entire staff are on the same page when it comes to your newly created retention program.

Furthermore, I’ll cover automation strategies to consistently acknowledge and recognize your members to ensure they are never forgotten.

Automations are part of the key elements to build a robust retention program that works on auto pilot. This reduces manual processes and ensures your staff have more time for direct face-to-face interactions with members.

In this session we’ll also cover member referrals and how to market them to maximize your referral opportunities. You can have the best referral incentives of any gym or fitness studio in the world, but if they aren’t marketed consistently across multiple channels then you’ll always get mediocre results.
